Discover Tuscany’s magical coastline. See parks, quaint villages and the most beautiful panoramas in the region in this truly unique area.  A “sports” vacation is just the place to start for a full nature immersion. Trekking and scuba diving are the perfect ways to become familiar with the Tuscan Archipelago. Elba Island offers numerous unforgettable experiences on land and sea. For those who love hiking, discover the area’s historic and naturalistic patrimony on paths that run from mountains down to beautiful beaches. Those who prefer underwater exploration will delight in the scuba diving opportunities just off the coast.

If biking is your thing, then head to the Costa degli Etruschi and discover fascinating trails filled with Etruscan ruins. Pedal along the Bolgheri avenue, the most poetic in Italian literature, and continue to the Magona green lung—or follow the roads to admire the beautiful landscapes of the Val di Cecina (Cecina, Donoratico and the Metallifere hills). Between rides, enjoy a glass of wine and a bite at one of the local historic wineries. The medieval towns in the area offer excellent cuisine, traditions and bits of history.

Combine archeology and history with a trip to the Baratti and Populonia archeological park. Crystal clear sea, wild countryside and breathtaking views converge in the Maremma area located in Southern Tuscany. The Argentario is Tuscany’s highest bluff and the Maremma Park are not to be missed. On horseback or on foot, there are numerous trails in this corner of paradise. The tufa rock trails will win any visitor over.

Head up to Versilia and discover a unique area that boasts fashionable haunts in Forte dei Marmi, excellent food in Camaiore and artistic-artisan masters in Pietrasanta. In between beaches and the Apuan Alps, visitors will have plenty of opportunities for a trip combining food, wine and high fashion. If its relaxation you’re after, take a break at one of Italy’s best spa towns. The Versilia spas, San Giovanni spas on Elba Island and the Campiglia spas on the Etruscan Coast are waiting to pamper guests with treatments that combine tradition and innovation.
