The smooth and steady passage allows visitors to get closer to the wild animals, such as cows and horses, without bothering them. The carriage tour is good also for birdwatching even in the rainy days of winter or in the sunny days of summer. In fact, the chariot can be covered with a ground cloth to protect the visitors.
The first route, 10 kms long, which lasts about 3 hours and a half, crosses the Grand Duchy Pine Wood and ends up in the cave area, passing near the medieval tower of Castel Marino and the Renaissance tower of Collelungo. The magnificent beach nearby, rich in vegetation, takes its name from this tower, and you'll stop on its shores for 45 minutes. During this journey, you can meet wild animals like deer and boar. This itinerary can be done also in the evening, including a typical food tasting.
The second route only takes 2 hours, from Marina di Alberese along a country road, towards Vaccareccia, where it's possible to see some birds of prey. Then travelling in a charming and ancient wood with various species of ancient oaks (Quercus suber and Quercus pubescens), there's the possibility to watch wild boars and deers. This itinerary can be done in the evening with some tastings, too.
