This Christmas, Chiusi is adorned in magic, with a calendar rich in events for young and old.
From December 7 to 24, children can dive into the atmosphere of Casa di Babbo Natale (Santa’s House), including creative workshops and activities designed just for them.
On December 31 in Piazza Duomo, the city will greet the New Year with New Year’s Eve in the Piazza, replete with music, toasts, a pyre and a festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Festivities conclude in the sweetest of ways: on January 6, “Arriva la Befana!” will welcome Italy’s beloved witch-like old lady after she spectacularly descends from the bell tower in Piazza Duomo.
Returning to Montepulciano until January 6 is the annual Piazza Grande Market, the largest in central Italy with over 70 cottages. Besides the market, also unmissable is the Castello di Babbo Natale (Santa’s Castle) at the Fortezza Medicea.
Sarteano, known around the world as the Town of Nativity Scenes each Christmas, is offering a new calendar of must-see events for 2025.
On December 6 at 4:00 pm, the Arrischianti Municipal Theater will host “Oltre il Vento – l’arte che unisce” (“Beyond the Wind - art that unites”), a live performance combining the voice and narration of Omar Pedrini with the video-pictorial creations of Giuseppe Ragazzini.
From December 6 to January 6, the village will instead host the widespread exhibition, “The Neapolitan Nativity Art of the 1700s, Dioramas and Nativity Scenes from the World by Stefano Rappuoli,” an itinerary spread throughout various locations in the village.
To welcome in the New Year, the traditional “Capodanno a teatro” (New Year’s Eve at the Theater) returns on December 31 with a performance by the Compagnia Nuova Accademia degli Arrischianti that concludes with a midnight toast in the square.
On December 7 and 8 in Sinalunga, “The Enchantment of Christmas” includes 2 days in Piazza Garibaldi full of entertainment for the whole family, with craft markets, magic and puppet shows plus the grand finale of lighting the Christmas tree.
