Prato’s country church well worth a visit

Visitors to this country church in Artimino may be surprised by the quasi-bizarre contrast between the interior’s three-nave Gothic vaults and the imposing Lombard-Romanesque style of its exterior. The church hosts several noteworthy works, such as a polychrome and wood statue of San Leonardo, which probably dates back to the XVI century.‘The Visitation’, in terracotta, was created by the late Della Robbia school. Visitors will also enjoy a wooden statue, sculpted in the 1400s by the Tuscan school.
