Skiing is synonymous with freedom and fun and should be possible for everyone. Pistoia Mountains, a true skier's paradise, lends itself to being the ideal destination for all those who want to try their hand at the sport and spend an exciting ski week, overcoming difficulties and physical limitations.
In the Abetone ski area, precisely in Val di Luce, and at Doganaccia, it is possible for the disabled to access the ski lifts, rent equipment and take advantage of highly qualified ski instructors. Here you will find the "dualsky," a special ski, aimed at people in wheelchairs, which allows all those who, for various reasons, cannot ski independently, to enjoy the beauty of this sport. At Doganaccia, for the most severely handicapped, the service is offered free of charge by qualified instructors.
Chalets, which also serve as changing rooms, reserved parking spaces a few meters from the lifts, complete the offer.
"Barrier-free skiing" makes the mountain viable for everyone. Nature should not be an obstacle but a wonderful opportunity to keep body and mind healthy, in every season.
