A villa immersed in a dreamlike landscape and a garden all to bediscovered

The Villa Peyron al Bosco di Fontelucente complex is located on the hills of Fiesole, in a scenic position from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Florence and comprises the villa, the formal garden, the park, olive groves and the forest.
Villa Peyron was purchased by Angelo Peyron on April 14, 1914 and is named after its last owner, Paolo Peyron, Angelo’s son.
The Villa was presumably built on Etruscan ruins and, over the centuries, it underwent renovations and transformations until it took on its present appearance by the architect Ugo Giovannozzi.
The name "Al bosco di Fontelucente" (the wood of Fontelucente) is due to the presence of a lush forest that houses both the Italian-style gardens and a 16th-century spring, which provides by falling the water necessary for the operation of the numerous fountains and a pond.

Peyron, in order to transmit the complex intact to future generations, in 1998 donated it to the Fondazione Parchi Monumentali Bardini e Peyron (Bardini and Peyron Monumental Parks Foundation).
Thanks to a recent restoration, the interiors have been reorganized to function as a museum of "Casa da Signore" to show the lifestyle of the 20th century, while maintaining the spirit and character of the furnishings and objects that can be found in it.
The Villa's Garden is a creation born exclusively out of Paolo's imagination: a small-sized garden, confined to the parts closest to the house, already existed at the time of purchase, but it was from 1934 that it began to grow according to an idea that Peyron pursued consistently without enlisting the help of professionals or experts, but arranging the garden over time.
The statues that adorn the garden, which replace the original ones that were destroyed during World War II, come from Venetian villas on the Brenta.

It is possible to visit the villa and garden in groups, by reservation only.
