The collection offers an interesting example of private collecting in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It was created by Clemente Bologna di Montepulciano, who collected artworks, weapons, painting, furniture and various local and imported porcelain.

It is joined to the Museum of Executors of Pious Disposition in the building opposite.
