Plan
The starting point is the port of Marina di Grosseto, where you board the boat to reach the snorkeling and dive sites. During the ride along the coast, you pass the beaches and cliffs of the Parco della Maremma, medieval watchtowers, and the Rocca di Talamone.
Once the boat is anchored, the diving instructors get ready to guide you. After a brief but thorough safety and equipment briefing, your snorkeling experience begins: wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and fins.
If you’ve chosen the Discover Scuba option, you’ll get a further briefing on equipment and dive technique.
And then you’re in.
The other site is along the coast from Talamone to Cala di Forno. The clear water lets you see marine life up close: fish, starfish, and — with a little luck — sea turtles making their way through the waves toward the beach. The coast is rich with caves, and some can be safely entered to explore the above-water sections.
Before heading back to port, a stop at the beach of Cala di Forno.
