Visit Siena and the historic village of San Gimignano, famous for its ancient towers, with lunch in a typical Tuscan farmhouse and wine tastings.
Your driver picks you up at your accommodation in Florence or the Florence province (hotel, B&B or apartment). Together with your guide you travel along one of the most scenic roads in Tuscany, among rolling hills, vineyards, cypress trees and olive groves, hearing stories, local traditions and hidden gems of the region.
First stop: Siena, a medieval jewel and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy a self-guided visit of the historic center: Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Baptistery and charming streets such as Via di Città, with tips from your guide.
Lunch at a winery: at a family-run winery in the Chianti countryside you enjoy an authentic Tuscan lunch with organic, locally sourced ingredients: two homemade pasta dishes, bruschetta, pecorino cheese and other specialties. During lunch, a wine tasting with Chianti, Chianti Colli Senesi, Super Tuscan, Sangiovese, rosé and Vernaccia di San Gimignano, plus extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, with panoramic views of the hills and San Gimignano.
Second stop: San Gimignano, the "Town of Fine Towers."
Stroll past artisan shops, taste saffron and Vernaccia, and don't miss the gelato at Gelateria Dondoli, twice world champion.
Return to your accommodation around 5:00 PM.
