The great “Museo del Duomo” of Florence

In Florence we no longer talk about the Cathedral, or its Dome, or the Baptistery, or the Giotto's Bell Tower… Since last year, in fact, there is only one big "museum", called the Great Museum of Florence’s Dome, which includes all the monuments of the Complex of Santa Maria del Fiore: Cathedral Brunelleschi's Dome Giotto's Bell Tower Baptistery of San Giovanni Crypt of Santa Reparata Opera del Duomo Museum

What does it mean? It means that all the spectacular monuments of Piazza San Giovanni (also known as Piazza Duomo) can be visited with a single ticket! And here are the facts you should know! THE TICKET  It’s a ticket that allows you to visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Dome of Brunelleschi, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery, the ancient basilica of Santa Reparata (the Crypt) and the Opera Museum. It costs 15 €; 3 € from children 6 to 11 years; free for children under 6 years old. THE DURATION  The ticket is valid for 24 hours, starting from the entrance in the first monument.

WHERE TO BUY IT You can buy tickets online (here) or at ticket offices and vending machines that are located at the Center for Art and Culture (Piazza San Giovanni , 7). THE OPENING HOURS Cathedral 10am–5pm Thursday: May-October 10am-4pm, July-September 10am-5pm, January-April and November-December 10am-4.30pm Saturday: 10am-4.45pm Sunday and Religious holidays: 1.30 – 4.45pm Closed: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Epiphany, Easter Sunday Note: the Cathedral alone can be visited free of charge. Dome 8.30am-6.20pm Saturday: 8.30am – 5pm Closed: Sunday, New Year's Day, Epiphany, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Feast of St. John (June 24), Feast of the Assumption (August 15), All Saints' Day (November 1), Immaculate Conception (December 8), Christmas Day, Boxing Day (December 26)
