From June 25 to July 21 in Florence comes the latest edition of the Florence Dance Festival, bringing classical and contemporary dance to the city’s public venues since 1989.
The heart of the Festival will be the Chiostro Grande in Santa Maria Novella, where performances will take place under the stars.
The 2026 edition will even extend to the Pratolino Medici Park, Fiesole and Alto Mugello, in Palazzuolo sul Senio.
The program unites Italian and Florentine productions with international companies.
Guests include the Vortice Dance Company from Portugal with Carmina Burana, PCK Dance from England, the Lewis Major Project from Australia and the Taipei Municipal Zhong Zheng Senior High School from Taiwan.
Booking tickets in advance is recommended, given the limited number of seats available.
On the evenings of the performances at the Chiostro Grande in Santa Maria Novella, a ticket desk will operate at the entrance from Piazza Santa Maria Novella 18, 90 minutes before the start to purchase tickets for any remaining seats.
Access to the Chiostro Grande has no architectural barriers and is facilitated by the presence of ramps.
For spectators with reduced mobility, there is priority admission with free access for their accompanying person. Tickets can be reserved via email to book the best possible seats.
The full program can be found on the event website.
