4 concerts at the Archaeological Museum and Santa Maria in Canonica

Starting in July, the 1ˢᵗ edition of the Valdelsa Chamber Music Festival—will kick off a new event dedicated to chamber music in Colle Val d’Elsa. 
Between July and September, this Festival will bring some of the most acclaimed performers from the Italian and international chamber music scene to the utterly picturesque settings of the historic center of Colle Alta.

The concerts, beginning at 9:00 pm, will take place in the Giardino delle Arti at Palazzo Pretorio, while the closing concert will be held at the Church of Santa Maria in Canonica, venues of great historical and artistic value that will serve as the backdrop for a musical journey combining artistic excellence with a promotion of the city’s cultural heritage.

The program launches on Wednesday, July 8 with the Quartetto di Fiesole headlining an evening dedicated to Webern and Schubert. Tuesday, July 14 will feature I Cameristi Toscani, with a repertoire ranging from Mozart to Piazzolla, spanning various musical genres and traditions. On Tuesday, July 21, the Dynamis Piano Quartet will present a dialog between Mozart’s classicism and Richard Strauss’ romanticism. The festival then concludes on Sunday, September 13 with the Quartetto Adorno performing works by Beethoven and Schumann at the Church of Santa Maria in Canonica.
