Week of Music

From August 3 to 10 in Murlo comes the 25ᵗʰ edition of Settimana della Musica (Week of Music), with 6 concerts scheduled to take place between the Murlo Castle and Casciano di Murlo.

5 events will be held in the square in front of Murlo Castle, while the closing concert will be held in Casciano di Murlo. 
The program spans eras, repertoires and various musical ensembles, featuring musicians from the festival’s resident ensemble, internationally renowned performers and young yet already established musicians.

Among the main events is a concert from the official program of the Chigiana International Festival & Summer Academy 2026 slated for August 5 as part of Off the Wall - Concerts in the Lands of Siena.

Taking the stage will be Giuseppe Ettorre, maestro of double bass at the Accademia Chigiana and principal double bassist at La Scala in Milan; cellist Ettore Pagano, winner of the 2026 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels; and pianist Pierluigi Di Tella, concert pianist, professor and accompanist maestro for the Accademia Chigiana’s summer courses.

The concert on August 5 requires advance reservations, subject to availability. 
Individual tickets cost €20 or €5 euro for children aged 14 years and under. Reservations are available exclusively online or from Rebecca Libri at Via Pantaneto 132 in Siena, open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

For the other concerts, reservations are recommended. Individual tickets cost €15, with free admission for children aged 14 years and under.

Season passes are even available, excluding the concert on August 5:

• 3 concerts: €40
• 4 concerts: €50
• 5 concerts: €60

Tickets and season passes can be purchased via PayPal or bank transfer, or else at the Murlo Tourist Office and the Murlo Castle Archaeological Museum Ticket Office, open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, except on Mondays, up to 30 minutes before the concerts begin.
