The event that celebrates food and wine culture and excellent local products

From October 31 to November 2, the village of Castagneto Carducci will be hosting the new edition of Castagneto a Tavola, an event that celebrates food and wine culture and excellent local products.

A tribute to the deep connection between Giosuè Carducci and the lands that inspired him, through culinary experiences and historical re-enactments, retracing the atmosphere of Carducci's famous "ribotte” (eating sprees). Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a journey that combines wine, olive oil, typical local products and Carduccian culture.

One of the most eagerly-awaited occurrences, the heart of the event, is the Convivio Carducciano, a feast that will be held on Sunday at the captivating Castle of the Della Gherardesca Family. The lunch, organized by the Chef from Osteria della Magona, will offer a journey through food, with the signature dishes of Castagneto tradition, including Zuppa Castagnetana (typical soup of Castagneto), Testina di cinghiale (roasted wild boar dish) and Tortello della Sagra del Basket Donoratico (filled pasta dish), accompanied by a selection of Bolgheri wines.
