An art and science exhibition at the MudaC in Carrara
Thursday, April 30 at 5:00 pm, the Museum of the Arts in Carrara (MudaC) will see the opening of Cre-Sci Un Radicale Esperimento (Creative Science - A Radical Experiment), an exhibition that connects art and science through a joint project between 12 artists active in Carrara and 12 international scientists, all of whom will be present at the opening event.
The works arise from a direct interaction between differing practices and languages, in which scientific research enters the exhibition space, here presented as a work, while artistic practice opens up to the dimension of discourse and lecture.
The project thus aims to challenge the traditional opposition between science and art, were creativity is the common denominator and underlying driver of cultural progress.
The exhibition will be open until Sunday, June 2, during museum opening hours of Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 am to noon and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm plus Sunday, June 2 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
