The etruscan way from Campiglia Marittima to Suvereto
An itinerary in the heart of the Val di Cornia
We will explore the two enchanting medieval villages of Campiglia Marittima and Suvereto, where we will be greeted by scenarios of unique beauty.
From Campiglia Marittima, we will be able to admire the view from the Rocca dei Conti della Gherardesca and walk through the narrow streets of the village, paved with cobblestones.
Next, we will travel along stage number 7 of the Etruscan path "From Volterra to Piombino", crossing beautiful cork woods. We will also visit the entrance to some old disused quarries, which will remind us of the archaeological-mining history of the Campiglia area.
Afterwards, we will head towards the hamlets of Prata and Belvedere, from which we will admire the Suvereto area with views that extend as far as the Island of Elba. We will arrive at the Rocca Aldobrandesca of Suvereto to admire the historic medieval centre. Finally we will immerse ourselves in the gentle countryside of the Val di Cornia among vineyards, flowers and scenery of great beauty, which will take us back to Campiglia for the conclusion of this incredible adventure .
The tour will take place on Sunday 12 May 2024 with departure at 9.00.

The guide reserves the right to make changes to the hike to ensure the safety of the group, or to cancel the hike in case of bad weather and/or alertness.
The Excursion will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 25 people.
