From the Theater of Silence to the Rock of Pietracassia
Beautiful hike in the enchanted hills of Lajatico
During this hike we will cross picture-postcard landscapes of barren countryside bordered by farms, where ochre colors mingle with the cobalt of the sky, giving sweeping views all the way to Volterra and beyond.
The pivotal place of our excursion will be the iconic Theater of Silence, which is now a symbol of the Tuscan landscape. We will walk across immense horizons to the lonely mystical Rocca di Pietracassia.
The Theater of Silence is a unique place in the world. It is a natural amphitheater that has seen the likes of international artists take the stage: Laura Pausini, Roberto Bolle, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Andrea Bocelli. Andrea Bocelli returns to his hometown of Lajatico every year for a concert, after which the Theater goes back to sleep remaining silent.
All the highlights we will visit in this proposal:
- Theater of Silence
- Fortress of Pietracassia
- The village of Lajatico

The tour will take place on Saturday, Mrch 30, at 9 a.m.
