Guided visit of Baptistery & Opera Museum with the possibility of including Giotto’s Bell Tower

The Duomo Square offers a breathtaking view, especially at sunset, when the sun's rays 'light up' the polychrome marble of the buildings that form the religious complex of the city.

The chromatic homogeneity (green, white, and red) harmonizes a stylistic variety. The stylistic differences can be explained by the construction work going on for about four centuries, from the middle of the 11th century, when the works at the Baptistery started, until the middle of the 15th century when the dome of the Duomo was completed by Filippo Brunelleschi; this, with its imposing size, dominates the whole square.

Following a chronological order, the visit to Florence's religious center starts from the Baptistery. With our Tour Leader supported by our multilanguage audioguide, you will have the opportunity to admire the stunning Byzantine mosaics of the vault inside.

The tour will end at the Museum of Opera del Duomo, where you will admire up close works of high value from the artistic heritage of the religious complex, including, among others, "La Pietà" by Michelangelo.

Enjoy a visit to the most important buildings in the heart of Florence’s historic center: the Baptistery and the Opera del Duomo Museum. With the same tickets used for the tour, you can visit the cathedral on your own and the Giotto Bell Tower (if the option is selected).
