Cycling through the hills and vineyards of Bolgheri
A day by E-bike with lunch and wine tasting at Tenuta San Guido
When you hear the name Bolgheri, two great gems immediately spring to mind: the verses of Giosuè Carducci, who immortalized this corner of Tuscany, and the international prestige of its great red wines.
On this guided day through the hills of the Etruscan Coast, we'll pedal twenty-five kilometers by e-bike through vineyards and medieval villages.
The tour begins in Marina di Bibbona, where, after meeting with your guide and a short technical briefing, you'll receive your pedal-assisted bicycles. Once you're on your bike, you'll leave the sea behind you and pedal toward the hills.
The first stop will be the ancient village of Bibbona, a medieval center characterized by quaint stone alleys, stairways, and historic portals. From its highest points, on clear days, a breathtaking panoramic view opens up that encompasses the entire coastline.
We'll continue along picturesque country roads lined with vineyards until we reach the heart of Bolgheri. The village, secluded and protected by its centuries-old walls, invites you to take a refreshing break among artisan workshops and small squares steeped in timeless charm.
We'll then set off along the iconic Viale dei Cipressi: a straight, tree-lined five-kilometer stretch that Carducci masterfully described in his poem "Davanti San Guido."
Our journey concludes at Tenuta San Guido with a convivial moment dedicated to the flavors of the area, including lunch and a guided tasting at the winery to discover the excellence of Sassicaia and the other wines that have made this area famous worldwide.
