Golf in Valdinievole

18 holes in the heart of the Tuscan countryside

Monsummano Terme
The Montecatini Golf Club “La Pievaccia” is a 18-hole par 72 course over 5,857 meters, located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, at Monsummano Terme in Valdinievole. The golf course stretches over the estate once owned by an ancient local family, amidst breathtaking panoramas whose flourishing and prosperous vegetation creates the perfect setting for a blend of sports and history. The golf course follows the harmonious gentle slopes of the Tuscan hills and some of the holes are set in points that have an extraordinary technical attraction along with splendid views over unique landscapes.

The front nine holes are characterized by rows of olive trees that mark the delicate leg of the fairways and the borders of the course. The back nine holes are set amidst typical Mediterranean flora, and the alternating colors and perfumes of heather, Scotch broom and bay trees enrich the atmosphere and create a perfect frame for each hole. There are two lakes along the course that present players with a further golfing challenge that calls for a clever game strategy. The greens are quite fast and are characterized by challenging slopes. This course requires good concentration and golfers will be rewarded each time they play it with thrilling new emotions.

The Club House (the ancient Villa Galeotti), built on the land of ancient Etruscan and Roman settlements dating back to before 1000 BC, has been thoroughly renovated respecting the architectural origins of the building and in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape.
