Equi Terme is home to one of the main Visitor Centers of the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps, which also features the Apuangeolab, an interactive earth science museum.
The interactive machines in the museum allow visitors to discover the continuous transformations of our planet in geological times, why earthquakes occur or mountains formed, why the Mediterranean Sea was formed and then shaped the Apennines, or how the waters carved out the Apuan Alps creating the karst caves and much more.
In the outdoor area, the Park has also thought of fun for the youngest children with the Kids Adventure Park, an extraordinary activity that allows children to try their hand at acrobatic courses with ladders, rung walkways, Tibetan bridges and moving bridges, climbing nets and much more.
For adventure-loving adults, too, there are three exciting activities: the Zipline, the Rock Climbing, and the Caving-Adventure.
In addition to the Karst Caves, the Archeological Museum and the Prehistoric Tecchia, an important paleontological site, are open to the public.
Finally, on your own or with guides, you can take walks or hikes on the Park's trails, such as the Anello delle Acque e dei Geositi.
