Cortona On The Move is the international festival of contemporary photography held every summer in Cortona, with the aim of promoting new visions and original forms of visual communication.
Cortona On The Move has become a true experimentation center for the evolution of photographic language and has become one of the main Italian events in the sector for established photographers, amateurs and enthusiasts.
There are also original works chosen through the Cortona On the Move Open Call, the Happiness ONTHEMOVE international award, and other special open call.
The days of the festival see the most important photography professionals on the world scene, engaged in events, presentations, talks, workshops and portfolio reviews.
The Cortona On The Move exhibitions are set up in the historic buildings in the center of the town and in the Fortezza del Girifalco, the Medici fortress that overlooks Cortona.
The 13th edition of Cortona On The Move will take place from July 13 to October 1, with the theme "More or Less".
More or Less are categories whose value changes over the years and geographically. They are not only economic categories, but also ontological ones, a prism through which to observe the world. From architecture to music, fashion to literature, cuisine to sports, almost everything can be seen as if it were on one side or the other of this emblematic watershed.
The program of Cortona On The Move 2023 will explore these themes very dear to photography.
