Masterpieces at War from the Uffizi to the Casentino
As part of the Uffizi Diffusi project, the exhibition "Michelangelo Kidnapped, Masterpieces at War from the Uffizi to the Casentino" will be on view at the Poppi Castle from July 20, 2023 to January 28, 2024.
The exhibition reconstructs the rescue of the Florentine artistic heritage during the Second World War, with loans from the Uffizi and images of the most important paintings and sculptures sheltered in the Poppi manor and in the Camaldoli monastery. Among these also the lost Mask of Faun attributed to Michelangelo.
