From August 3 to 5, Piazza Garibaldi in Massa Marittima hosts Lirica in Piazza, a historic festival dedicated to opera that has filled the heart of the city with great music for over 30 years.
Launched in 1986 to exalt the evocative natural setting of the square and churchyard of the San Cerbone Cathedral, the event combines the tradition of opera with a staging designed for open spaces, with sets, lights and multimedia effects.
The program includes La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi on August 3, La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini on August 4 and Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi on August 5.
All performances will begin at 9:15 pm.
