Puccini’s marching bands bring the streets and squares of his hometown to life
The route through the historic centre, setting off at 10.30 am from Piazzale Verdi, includes a series of performances at the city’s most iconic landmarks: Palazzo Pretorio, the ‘G. Puccini’ Teatro del Giglio, and San Martino Cathedral, ending at the monument to Giacomo Puccini in Piazza Cittadella.

23 August – Filarmonica "Giuseppe Verdi" di Castelnuovo di Garfagnana
20 September – Filarmonica "G. Pacini" - Gruppo Folkloristico "La Sorgente" di Quiesa
The festival is organised by the Giacomo Puccini Foundation in collaboration with the Teatro del Giglio G. Puccini, la sezione provinciale di Lucca dell’Associazione Nazionale delle Bande Italiane Musicali Autonome e la Filarmonica Giacomo Puccini "La Castellana", the official band of the Municipality of Lucca.
