On Saturday, May 30 the Fondazione Museo Santa Cecilia di Massa Marittima hosts the 2ⁿᵈ event of the 2026 Classica al Museo series, with the concert Della Tromba col Violino et Organo Insieme.
Protagonist of the evening will be the Collegium In Harmonia Salus trio, counting Francesco Gibellini on baroque trumpet, Clara Fanticini on baroque violin and Michele Gaddi on organ and harpsichord.
The concert takes the audience to the heart of the Baroque, from Italy to England, to discover the trumpet as a solo instrument. Born as a military and representative instrument, in the 17ᵗʰ century, the trumpet actually began to converse with strings and keyboards, taking on a new role in chamber music.
Through the use of period instruments, the ensemble restores the resonances, colors and dynamics of music between the 17ᵗʰ and 18ᵗʰ centuries in a program designed not only for aficionados but for those who wish to approach early music through an evocative and accessible listening experience.
