Until Sunday, October 25, Palazzo Cucchiari in Carrara is hosting the exhibition Le Signore dell’Arte. La Parità del Talento nell’Arte Italiana Moderna (The Ladies of Art – Equality of Talent in Modern Italian Art), curated by Massimo Bertozzi.
The exhibition offers a look at the presence of women in Italian art from the mid-19ᵗʰ century to the mid-20ᵗʰ century, highlighting the role of family relationships in the development and success of female artists.
The show brings together diverse stories and experiences as it traces the journeys of these pioneers, fully recognizing their talent and their contribution to art history.
Held across the first 2 floors of Palazzo Cucchiari, the exhibition features 131 works by 42 female artists, alongside 3 paintings by Giacomo Balla and 4 works by Felice Casorati.
