Special Evening Openings: Where the Sea Meets Archaeology

The Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park welcomes you with special opening hours thanks to Archeo-Sunset, a unique event designed for experiencing archaeology at the most atmospheric time of day. Every Sunday in July and August, from 3 PM to 9 PM, visitors can stroll among wonders dating back thousands of years, bathed in the warm light of sunset, on a journey that combines the charm of the sea with ancient history. An extraordinary chance to discover the park’s archaeological heritage in an evocative setting, surrounded by nature, scenery and memories of the past. During the August openings, you can also take part in guided tours - available only in Italian - which are part of the Etruschi 85-25 project and dedicated to Etruscan civilization: a journey through the traditions, culture and legacy of one of the most important peoples of ancient Italy. An opportunity to experience the Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park in a different light, combining archaeology, nature and sunsets over the sea.
