Summer Events in Carrara

Concerts, theater performances, movies, festivals, special events and exhibitions: from June 23 to September 28, Carrara is gearing up for a rich summer lineup, with a calendar of events scheduled through September.

From the mountains to the sea, the city and the surrounding area host initiatives dedicated to music, art, theater, literature and discovery of the local area. Stay updated by downloading the It's Happening This Summer brochure. Music, art, words and squares to experience.

The scheduled events include White Carrara, open to the public through August 30, CArt - Creativi in Dialogo, on July 24 and 25, and the Voce all’Autore series, featuring a tribute to Arnaldo Pomodoro and a section dedicated to young people, Voce all’Autore Ragazzi.

There will also be live music featuring Irene Grandi, Levante, Loredana Bertè, Shablo, Dimartino and Valerio Lundini with Vazzanikki.

There will be no shortage of initiatives with a medieval flavor, such as Avenza Medievale, scheduled on July 18 and 19, and the Sotto la Torreevents, with guests like Lella Costa, Gene Gnocchi and Ascanio Celestini.

The program also includes villages further inland, including Bedizzano and Campocecina, as well as coastal locations, with the “Il mare non ha paese” (the sea has no homeland) poetic walks in August and September.

The season will come to an end with the Con-vivere Carrara Festival, scheduled for September 10 to 13.

A summer to experience under the Apuan sky, filled with culture, music, entertainment and new opportunities to discover Carrara.
