Discover the iconic landscapes of Tuscany on a scenic self-guided e-bike tour between Montepulciano and the Val d’Orcia, riding through cypress-lined roads, vineyards, and timeless hilltop villages.
The route follows an easy and scenic 36-kilometre loop, mostly on well-maintained white gravel roads with short stretches of quiet paved roads. Steeper options are avoided, making the tour smooth and enjoyable for a wide range of riders.
Your journey begins with the stunning Church of San Biagio, followed by a ride through vineyards and cypress-lined roads along Via della Montagna, leading to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata.
The route then descends towards the charming village of Monticchiello, along scenic switchbacks and postcard-perfect landscapes, with a recommended stop to explore the village and enjoy the atmosphere.
The return takes you back through the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia, with optional gourmet stops such as Podere Il Casale, local wineries, and the Caseificio Cugusi, before ending the tour with a final view over Montepulciano.
You can park directly at the shop. The area has plenty of parking available.

Cancellation
and no-show policies
- Free cancellation: you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour start time.
- Late cancellations: for cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour start time, or in case of no-show, no refund will be issued.
- Date changes: date changes are not possible. If needed, you must cancel according to the terms above and make a new booking (subject to availability and current prices).
- Extras: bookings for extras (bike and accessory rental, tastings, light lunch, other services) follow the same rules as the tour: full refund up to 24 hours before; within 24 hours of the start time or in case of no-show, the full amount is forfeited.
- Weather and trail conditions: in case of bad weather or unsafe conditions (alerts, closures, restrictions), the tour may be cancelled for safety reasons. In these cases, a refund will be issued according to the rules above; any services already started/provided are non-refundable.
- How to cancel: cancellation must be requested via the channel indicated in the booking confirmation (email/WhatsApp/phone). The time the request is received is the one that counts.
