Garfagnana: walking and cycling

Thanks to a series of easy excursions, we will immerse ourselves in the magical landscapes of this valley in northwestern Tuscany, nestled between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. We’ll walk and cycle through medieval villages and fortresses, discovering unique traditions and tasting typical local products that reflect a deep connection between people and their environment.

Throughout the trip, we will stay at Agriturismo Braccicorti, a traditional stone farmhouse surrounded by small buildings that once served as chestnut-drying huts (metati), located in the area of Pieve Fosciana.

Program overview:

• Day 1: arrival and accommodation at the agriturismo
• Day 2: morning hike to Villa Collemandina and Castiglione di Garfagnana; afternoon visit to a local farm
• Day 3: bike excursion in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, visit to the Fortress of Verrucole and the Garfagnana Coop in San Romano in Garfagnana, then continue to the village of Sambuca
• Day 4: free day

• The tour is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
