A weekend of tradition, beauty and sociability around Lucca

In the surroundings of Lucca there are more than 300 historic villas, country homes that merchants from Lucca built between the 16th and 19th centuries. The villas are the result of their trade throughout Europe.

Since 1977, the "March of the Villas" has taken place in Capannori every year, it is a non-competitive race among the most followed at a national level, with around 20,000 participants. The route takes place within the historic gardens of the Villas and is therefore a unique event as it combines sport, nature and culture. There are several routes to choose from, ranging from 5 to 26 kilometres, as well as the possibility of visiting the exhibition area inside the Marlia market.

It is advisable to wear sports clothing suitable for running.

Day 1

Arrival and accommodation in the hotel. We advise you to reach Marlia to collect your bib number. On this occasion you can visit the Expo area inside the Marlia Market. New for the 2024 edition, here you will be able to visit sports equipment stands and meet companies from the world of sport, wellness and fitness. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel and participation at the "March of the Villas" event. Departures are scheduled at 8 a.m., 9.30 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. depending on the ticket purchased and the route chosen. The selected hotel will allow late check out by 2.00 p.m., you will have the possibility to go back to the hotel to shower and collect your luggage.In the afternoon we recommend a guided tour of Lucca.
