In Palazzuolo sul Senio, 800 objects recount the life and work of the local population
The “Antonio Poli” Museum of Mountain Folk can be found in Palazzuolo Sul Senio, inside of the old Palazzo dei Capitani. It presents objects that reconstruct the life and work of the local population, put together in 30 years by volunteers, guided by Antonio Poli, to whom the museum course is dedicated.
In ten rooms, around 800 objects are displayed, recounting this mountain community on the confine between Tuscany and Emila Romagna. The smallest and perhaps the most original object is a hard-aluminium denture made in the thirties by a craftsman for his own use, whilst the largest object on display is a water mill, with two grinding posts which occupies all of one room.
