In Montepescali, ancient medieval village in the heart of Maremma

The Museum of Local History "Ildebrando Imberciadori" in Montepescali, in the municipality of Grosseto, aims to pass on to future generations the history, traditions, customs of the town of Montepescali, a free municipality since 1147.

The museum consists of four exhibition rooms and a gallery displaying documents (some from ancient times and many from the medieval, modern and contemporary periods), archaeological artifacts, ancient clockwork, the guillotine and tools of rural life.

The museum opens for small groups of people upon request: you must contact the parish priest or the priest's housekeeper of the church of San Niccolò.
