The Living Paintings

Folklore

Approximately one hundred costumed figures and stupendous stage settings in the squares and streets of the village of Montemassi

Sunday, June 2, the village of Montemassi once again turns into an open-air museum, with dozens of Living Paintings, among squares, streets, glimpses and landscapes.

After the previous successful editions, with more than 1300 participants, the 2024 edition of the traditional event, entitled “Come eravamo - l'amore va reinventato" (As we were - love must be reinvented), promises, as always, to be a unique exhibition, with about a hundred people, among costumed figures, carpenters, woodworkers, electricians, costume designers, hairdressers, makeup artists and lovers of figurative art, engaged in bringing to life stupendous scenic arrangements.

In the squares and along the streets of this enchanted village, with a breathtaking landscape, paintings of known artists will be set up and reproduced, they will be made "alive" by people who will reproduce characters in the pose, also thanks to clothing and hairstyles, all accompanied by background music.

The event is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Piazza della Madonna.
After a short presentation, group departures will be arranged, allowing everyone to take their time to enjoy the show and check their excitement.

Free entrance.
Stands to support the event will be placed along the route.
