Music and theater in Gavorrano
From August 4 to August 20, the Teatro delle Rocce in Gavorrano hosts a new summer season of music and entertainment, in the setting of the mining complex within the Park of the Metalliferous Hills.
Beneath the rock face of the San Rocco Quarry, just a short distance from the Park entrance, the theater offers a natural setting of great beauty. The stone steps follow the course of the quarry, creating a space that recalls the form of an ancient Greek theater, putting mining history, landscape and live performance into dialog.
The playbill features concerts and dates with some big names in Italian music and entertainment.
Scheduled are The Kolors on August 4, Metempsicosi on August 5, Francesca Michielin on August 8, Giorgio Panariello on August 16, The Queen of Rock Tribute Tina Turner on August 17 and Enrico Nigiotti on August 20.
