Great performers, new generations: classical music in the heart of a Tuscan village

From the end of May through to July, Cortona welcomes the NUME Academy & Festival 2026, a project dedicated to classical music that unites great international performers and young talents in a synergy between high-level training and concerts.

The heart of the festival is concentrated from June 17 to 26, when the city comes to life at the Signorelli Theater, in the Cloisters of the historic center and in spaces within the former Sant’Agostino Convent, where free master classes will also be held, open to the public.

Directed by Natalie Dentini, with the artistic direction of Vlad Stanculeasa, NUME represents one of the most original realities on the Italian music scene, combining excellent training and high-profile concert programming.
Alongside young musicians selected from around the world, the festival hosts big names from the international scene, offering the audience an immersive experience between music, territory and events.

The project is even extended with NUME Risonanze, a parallel section that expands the festival in time and space, with special events that weave together classical repertoire, 20ᵗʰ-century and contemporary experimentation, to bring music into direct dialog with the city and new audiences.
