The expansive festival dedicated to concealed identities

Held from June 5 to 7 is Cortona Comics, an expansive festival that transforms the historic center into an immersive experience of comics, entertainment, play and pop culture.

The theme of the 2026 edition is Secret Identities, inspired by the Tony Pitony concert, scheduled for Friday at the Santi Tiezzi Municipal Stadium, and the PK - Behind the Mask exhibition, being held in the Sant’Agostino Cloister.
A fil rouge that reels in audiences to explore the concept of transformation and identity through different languages.

Cultural highlights include the PK - Behind the Mask exhibition, curated by Max Monteduro, and at the MAEC (Etruscan Academy Museum of the City of Cortona), the solo exhibit of Alessandro Bocci with Many Identities. One pencil
The downtown streets will also host Identità Diffuse, an itinerate exhibition focused on identity in store windows.

The festival is split among several areas: Piazza Signorelli dedicated to shows and entertainment, Piazza Garibaldi with a food area and thematic market related to the world of comics and pop culture, and Piazza della Repubblica with playful and creative activities for all ages.
Ample space along the Artist Alley in the Sant’Agostino Cloister encompasses more than 30 Italian authors, including Giuseppe Camuncoli, Claudio Sciarrone, Corrado Mastantuono and many others, for meetings, signing sessions and live commissions.

Also scheduled are workshops, masterclasses, a self-production area, plus comics and retrogaming schools.
The latest additions include a large e-sports and games area open to all with tournaments.
At Palazzo Ferretti comes the Star Wars universe with exhibits, performances and staged combat demonstrations. Areas dedicated to young talent and creative activities, including LEGO Education, will also be present.

Access to the public areas is free, while other activities and experiences can be enjoyed with the purchase of a daily wristband or event-long pass.
