Lost Worlds

A series of 6 guided hikes, with free participation, to discover the little-known corners and locations off the usual routes, in the territory of the municipality of Cantagallo in Val di Bisenzio  

The program

• January 29 
  "The Forests and reedbeds of Rio Bacuccio"  
  in the Acquerino Cantagallo Nature Reserve, discovering a little-known corner of the protected area 
• February 5 
  "The chestnut groves of Luicciana, from Castello to Pian di Mezzo" 
  discovering a little-known area of the Val di Bisenzio, of extraordinary beauty and with unique landscape characteristics 
• February 11 
  "A Wolf's Night" 
  hike in the moonlight along the paths of the Nature Reserve, towards the area of Faggione, listening to the sounds of the forest and its inhabitants and the inner feelings that the adventure at night triggers 
• February 19 
  "The Hidden Village of Taglianico. On the ridges of the Val di Bisenzio" 
  discovering a rural village almost completely swallowed up by the forest, Taglianico, a "ghost" village overlooking the Trogola, abandoned after World War II 
• February 25 
  "The Fortress of Cerbaia at night. The valley of the rio Allese" 
  a well-known place, but seen in the moonlight, starting from the village of Carmignanello to the fortress through the impassable valley of the rio Allese 
• March 5 
  "The mills of Carigiola" 
  to learn firsthand about the ancient mills on the Carigiola, a rushing tributary of the Bisenzio in its upper reaches, known for its waterfalls
