On July 11 at 9.30 PM, the San Cerbone Necropolis, located within the Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park, will host a musical evening dedicated to great symphonic music.
In this setting, where archaeology, nature and landscape come together, the orchestra, conducted by Maestro Luigi Piovano, will present a program dedicated to Mendelssohn and Beethoven.
The evening will open with Felix Mendelssohn’s Overture “The Hebrides”, an evocative piece inspired by the atmosphere of the Scottish islands.
Next comes Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, the “Pastoral Symphony”, one of the most famous masterpieces of the symphonic repertoire, dedicated to nature and its expressive power.
A concert under the summer sky in Baratti, in one of the most picturesque spots along the Tuscan coast.
