An ancient military route connects the cities of Bologna and Florence, crossing landscapes where history and nature mingle in a tale that unfolds over six days of walking. Have you ever heard of the Via degli Dei?
We will start from Bologna, where on the first day you can walk among the 7 chapels of the Basilica di Santo Stefano, climb the Torri degli Asinelli to admire the city from above, and of course, enjoy a plate of tagliatelle al ragù. Don't miss the spectacle of the illuminated Piazza Maggiore, the Piazza Grande sung by Lucio Dalla, who lived just a few meters away.
Following the ancient Roman 'Flaminia Militare', where we can still walk on perfectly preserved stretches of Roman paving, immersed in the silence of the woods. Along the way, we will encounter mountains bearing divine names, ancient Roman amphitheaters, military cemeteries shrouded in the silence of the trees, and fossils of prehistoric shells embedded in the rocks of the mountains.
From Piazza Maggiore to Piazza della Signoria, we eventually arrive in Florence, in the heart of the Renaissance. After admiring the natural wonders along the way, we will find in the streets of Florence an extraordinary expression of human artistry and craftsmanship.
