Agriturismo La Roverella takes its name from the large oak tree (Quercus Robur) that flanks the building, once used as a granary and vinsantaia. Being in the center of the farm, it is possible to witness seasonal agricultural operations, such as the pruning of the vineyards, the grape harvest, the racking, the olive harvest, the sowing of wheat, and all that art and culture peasant have handed down with difficulty, enthusiasm to the present day.
We usually welcome our guests with a bottle of wine produced in the company and a homemade cake (currently suspended for COVID19 security).
Graziano, the owner, is always proud to show his cellar-museum, the photographic exhibition on peasant culture and to tell the story of the building which dates back to 1300. He will also be happy to illustrate the most interesting itineraries for visiting the countryside, surrounding and the places of greatest historical, architectural and artistic interest in the area.
Through a path right next to the vineyard, you can reach the top of the Poggio Tondo hill where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Siena and the surrounding landscape.
This offer includes 2 nights for 2 people in one of our apartments in low season.
