Tuscan grape stomping & wine tasting in Chianti

Children and adults pick grapes straight from the vines, then stomp them barefoot in old wooden barrels, turning them into juice amid rolling vineyards and scenic Tuscan countryside.

Your experience begins with a private pick-up from your accommodation (hotel, B&B or apartment) by our expert driver and environmental guide. Relax as you travel along the famous Via Chiantigiana wine road, one of the most scenic routes in Tuscany, winding through hills, vineyards, olive groves and cypress-lined landscapes.

Arriving at a traditional family-run farm in the heart of Chianti Classico, you are warmly welcomed by the estate's team. After a brief introduction to the property and its centuries-old winemaking tradition, you head into the vineyards to take part in the harvest, learning how grapes are selected and gathered.

Then the wooden tubs are filled with freshly harvested grapes and, accompanied by lively music, it's time for the most fun part of the day: grape stomping with bare feet, just as it was done in ancient times. A member of the family guides you, explaining the history of grape stomping and the secrets of traditional Tuscan winemaking.

The experience ends with a guided wine tasting of the estate's finest wines, including Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG and Super Tuscan IGT, learning to recognize aromas and flavors.

At the end, your driver takes you back to your accommodation.
