Every year, the first Sunday after March 19 the hamlet of Torrita di Siena hosts the Palio dei Somari, or Donkeys Race. An unusual race for those who see it for the first time, but very heartfelt by local people; from the weekend before the race, the town celebrates with propitiatory dinners in the typical taverns.
In Torrita di Siena there is also one of the best group of flags displayers and drummers players in Italy, ready to show its skill during the historical re-enactment on saturday night.
In addition to the suggestions of the event, the historic center of Torrita will amaze you with the beauty of unexpected treasures such as Donatello's marble lunette and the small "Sistine Chapel".
- Minimum 2 participants;
- Housing in a Double Room.
