Because Garfagnana is unlike any other part of the “classic Tuscany” that everyone knows and imagines. Tucked away in the northernmost corner of the region, it stretches along the banks of the Serchio River, nestled between the thick forests of the Apennines and the dramatic peaks of the Apuan Alps. Scattered throughout the valley are charming medieval villages like Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and Barga, along with fortresses and ancient walls that tell stories of millennia.
This is a seven-day journey through scenic views and characterful places — a valley to explore gently, through an experience that is both fun and out of the ordinary, letting you see, feel, and connect with the land in an authentic way.
A motorbike is the perfect way to admire the beauty of this region. You'll be constantly amazed by the changing landscapes: from nature parks to historic landmarks, rugged mountains to the white marble quarries of the Apuan Alps.
