Agriturismo La Roverella takes its name from the large oak tree (Quercus Robur) that flanks the building, once used as a granary and vinsantaia.
During the stay, it is possible to witness seasonal operations of our farmhouse, such as the pruning of the vineyards, the harvest, the racking, the olive harvest, the sowing of wheat and appreciate everything that the art and peasant culture have handed down with effort, enthusiasm up to the present day.
We welcome our guests with a bottle of wine produced in the company and a homemade cake (currently suspended for COVID19 security).
Graziano, the owner, is always proud to show his cellar-museum, the photographic exhibition on peasant culture and to tell the story of the building which dates back to 1300. He will also be happy to illustrate the most interesting itineraries in the countryside and give you some advice about the places of greatest historical, architectural and artistic interest in the area.
Through a path right next to the vineyard, you can reach the top of the Poggio Tondo hill where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Siena and the surrounding landscape.
Our offer includes a 7-night stay for 2 people in one of our apartments.
