Montalcino: e-Bike tour in Val d'Orcia
A circular eBike tour through the iconic landscapes of Val d’Orcia
This circular e-Bike tour departs from the heart of Montalcino, a famous medieval village known worldwide for its Brunello wine and breathtaking views of the Val d’Orcia. After the initial stretches through vineyards and scenic backroads, the route takes you into the heart of the Tuscan countryside, alternating between compact dirt roads, rolling hills, and endless photo opportunities.
Pedaling along the typical dirt roads, you’ll pass through some of Tuscany’s most iconic scenery: rows of cypress trees, isolated farmhouses, scenic curves, and fields that change color with every season. The climbs are always gentle and never too challenging thanks to the e-Bike’s assistance, while the descents let you enjoy the landscape at a relaxed pace.
One of the tour’s main stops is San Quirico d’Orcia, a charming medieval village nestled in the Val d’Orcia. Here you can take a break among historic alleyways, small squares, and traditional eateries before continuing on your way.
The return to Montalcino offers some of the most spectacular views of the entire itinerary, with sweeping vistas of the Tuscan hills and the valley’s famous cypress trees. A perfect experience for those seeking a short yet intense tour, ideal for discovering the most authentic Tuscany on an e-bike.
