Visiting the Valdichiana Senese, you will understand that here women have always played an essential role in defining the face of the territory.

In Montepulciano, you will meet female entrepreneurs who keep the tradition of Montepulciano viticulture alive. In Chianciano Terme, you will be fascinated by the emancipated and libertine Etruscan woman. In San Casciano dei Bagni, you will get to know the therapeutic femininity of the goddess Igea, venerated in the Santuario Ritrovato.

Plan

Day 1: Friday
Arrival in Montepulciano.
Guided tour of two historic cellars of Montepulciano, one of which is run by women, and tasting of Vino Rosso di Montepulciano DOC and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG.
Free lunch (not included).
Visit the Archaeological Civic Museum of Chianciano Terme, with a particular focus on the section dedicated to Etruscan women.
Check-in, dinner and overnight stay in a female-run accommodation facility in the area.
Day 2: Saturday
Guided tour of the Stanze Cassianensi followed by a guided tour of the archaeological excavation of the Santuario Ritrovato.
Free lunch (not included).
Relaxing afternoon at Fonteverde SPA.

Cancellations arriving more than 7 days before arrival: 50% refund of the balance
