Entering Gilda’s bistro one get the impression of being in an oasis of art nouveau covered with paneling from an old sacristy.

The original 1920 counter comes from a Turin Bank; the seats are from an old parish cinema, and the sconces from a Lombardi villa of the same period.

The bistrot is also the dining room of Mrs. Bertolini, since Gilda has preformed in the remake for the English television of “A room with a view”, as the owner of the Bartolini pension.

At Gilda’s you can always find a table with a view of the authentic Florence and its kitchen.
