Since 1980, Tuscan summer has been synonymous with big concerts. We’re talking of course about the month of July when Pistoia Blues Festival returns: it’s a unique event that involves the whole historic center of the city. Serving as the backdrop to all the great music is the magnificent Piazza del Duomo.
Each year the festival brings together legends from the European rock and blues scene of this type of caliber: Jimmy Page, Rory Gallagher, Brian Auger and B.B. King, among others. From the British blues of John Mayall to the grand sounds of Pat Metheny and John McLaughlin, to the performance of two great artists like Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, not to mention the outstanding Luther Allison, the stage has always hosted the biggest names from the international scene, who perform in what’s now become an unmissable event for music lovers.
Beside the main events, the city hosts a series of collateral ones, amplyfing the magic of one of the longest-running music festivals in Italy.
The 2025 edition will be held from July 4 to July 15.
